We conducted a hands-on Scrum Workshop with Grupo Coutinho, bringing together leaders and team members from the Extrabom, Extraplus, and Atacado Vem brands. The primary focus of the training was to enhance team productivity, equipping both employees and leaders with agile tools and practices to optimize performance in their daily routines.
The workshop introduced the fundamentals of Scrum in a practical and tailored way, aligned with the realities of the retail sector. Participants explored Scrum roles, events, and artifacts through interactive exercises and real-world application, directly connected to their operational challenges.
Throughout the session, we delved into the values of the Agile Manifesto, discussed the origins and limitations of Scrum, and reflected on common causes of low productivity and system overloads in organizations. We demonstrated how Scrum can be a powerful approach to reducing inefficiencies, eliminating bottlenecks, and fostering a more streamlined workflow.
Key Scrum events—such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives—were covered in depth, along with essential artifacts like the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Product Increment. Practical activities enabled participants to understand how to better manage demand, respect team capacity, and deliver consistent value.
The result was a high-energy, engaging workshop with excellent feedback, reinforcing the potential of agile practices to significantly improve productivity and support Grupo Coutinho’s ongoing pursuit of operational excellence.
