The Citizen Security Observatory of Espírito Santo State (OSC/ES) is an initiative by the Government of Espírito Santo aimed at supporting strategic actions for crime and violence prevention and control.
The Citizen Security Observatory was established by Decree No. 4551-R and serves as the core entity that integrates data, information, and knowledge on public security, criminal justice, social protection, and related areas. It fosters the development of information, studies, and research through collaboration with institutions such as the Secretariat of Public Security (SESP), the Espírito Santo Military Police (PMES), the Espírito Santo Civil Police (PCES), the Espírito Santo Military Fire Department (CBMES), the Espírito Santo State Traffic Department (DETRAN/ES), the Secretariat of Justice (SEJUS), the Espírito Santo Socio-Educational Assistance Institute (IASES), the Secretariat of Human Rights (SEDH), the Secretariat of Labor, Social Assistance, and Development (SETADES), the Secretariat of Health (SESA), the Secretariat of Education (SEDU), among others.
